BlueMicrosystem is a
comprehensive software development framework born to complement the
STM32 Nucleo motherboard
(NUCLEO-F401RE)
and two expansion boards for sensors (X-NUCLEO-IKS01A1)
and for Bluetooth Smart® (X-NUCLEO-IDB04A1).
This SDK includes the MotionFX sensor fusion algorithm
to combine all sensor outputs and relevant software layers to stream
processed data in real-time to a smartphone via Bluetooth Smart®.

- Ultra-low-power,
3-axis accelerometer with 10-years longevity
The new IIS328DQ
high-performance, 3-axis accelerometer is recommended for industrial
applications requiring an extended temperature range and long lifespan.
It features ultra-low-power operational modes that allow advanced
power-saving and smart sleep-to-wakeup functions.
The IIS328DQ has dynamic, user-selectable full-scales of ±2g/±4g/±8g and is capable of measuring
accelerations with output data rates from 0.5 Hz to 1 kHz.
Available in a 4x4 mm package,
the IIS328DQ is guaranteed to operate over a temperature range from -40 to +105 °C.
- New all-in-one board
to explore multiple MEMS and environmental sensors
The new X-NUCLEO-IKS01A1 expansion board has an on-board:
- LSM6DS0
3-axis accelerometer
and a 3-axis gyroscope
- LIS3MDL
3-axis magnetometer
- HTS221
humidity and temperature sensor
- LPS25HB
pressure sensor
The
board can be easily plugged into an STM32F4 Nucleo motherboard and
connected to other X-Nucleo expansion boards to test its sensors in
combination with other devices.
The X-NUCLEO-IKS01A1 is equipped with Arduino UNO R3 and 24-pin DIL
connectors, which are used in all ST’s MEMS adapters and make the board
scalable to test other sensors.
- VL6180X proximity,
gesture and ambient light sensing module
Take a high-speed train when developing your time-of-flight
applications.
The VL6180X-SATEL kit includes two small satellite boards with a
VL6180X proximity sensor, gesture and ambient light sensing module as
well as an LDO, which can be easily integrated into your application
thanks to their tiny form factor.
Using multiple satellites in your device will unlock innovative
use-cases like gesture recognition.
To help you get started, a complete development eco-system is available
including two user-friendly Nucleo evaluation packs and a complete
firmware package.
- Evaluate ST’s new
iNEMO inertial module with 6DoF in a compact footprint
The STEVAL-MKI160V1 is a
standard DIL24 socket adapter board designed
for the evaluation of the LSM6DS3,
a system-in-package featuring a 3D
digital accelerometer and a 3D
digital gyroscope.
It is an ideal solution for system prototyping and device evaluation
and it can be plugged into the STEVAL-MKI109V2
motherboard or the X-NUCLEO-IKS01A1
board for fast prototyping.
The adapter enables the complete LSM6DS3 pinout and comes together with
decoupling capacitors on the VDD power supply line.
The LSM6DS3 has an always-on low-power mode for an optimal motion
experience in consumer applications.
- ST launches 10 years
longevity program for Motion MEMS
The 10 years longevity commitment program
assures, on selected parts, continuity and stability of supply for ST
customers, especially those that design industrial applications and
require long-term product availability.
The 10 years longevity commitment begins at the time of product launch.
The first MEMS joining the program
are ST’s new accelerometers and a gyroscope specifically intended for
harsh industrial environments often characterized by extended
temperature ranges and a high level of shocks and vibrations.

- 1200 V IGBT S series
features the industry’s lowest saturation voltage
Ideal for use in hard-switching
topologies up to 8 kHz, ST’s 1200 V IGBT S series features the
industry’s lowest VCE(sat).
Available in 15 A, 25 A and 40 A current ratings, they increase the
efficiency of power supplies, welders and industrial motor drive
applications thanks to the optimal trade-off between conduction and
switching performance combined with outstanding robustness and EMI
characteristics.
Based on the 3rd generation of trench-gate field-stop technology, they
feature a 175 °C maximum operating junction temperature, a 10 µs (min.)
short-circuit withstand time and a wide safe operating area (SOA).
- Evaluate ST’s
long-life, paper-thin, rechargeable, solid-state batteries
Two kits are now available for evaluating and supporting the design of
tiny technology and IoT devices based on ST’s EFL700A39 EnFilm™ thin-film
batteries.
The EFL700EVALKIT
evaluation kit enables discovery of the performance of the EFL700A39 by
monitoring the voltage and the dynamic charge / discharge current in
real use-case conditions.
The EFL700PMB power management board includes all the power management
circuitry so the EFL700A39 can be directly connected and used in your
application for rapid evaluation.

Switched-mode power supply design is a relentless quest for higher

You can get serious improvements in both by using the SRK2001, an adaptive synchronous
rectification controller for LLC resonant converters in your next

- Highly compact ESD
protection in 01005 package revolutionizes IoT applications
ST's ESDAVLC12-1BV2 is a
silicon-based ESD protection device supplied in the industry’s smallest
standard surface-mount package of 0.4 x 0.2 mm.
It fully complies with ESD standard IEC 61000-4-2. Although other types
of ESD protectors – such as varistors – are available in the same size,
these generally do not protect as efficiently.
The ESDAVLC12-1BV2 clamping voltage is half that of the nearest
competing varistors in the same size package, offering greater safety
for the internal components.
- New 800 V
overvoltage-protected AC switch gets a smaller package
ST’s new ACS108-8SUN is an
overvoltage-protected AC switch designed to control loads up to 0.8 A.
Featuring 800 V VDRM and VRRM, improved dV/dt and (dI/dt)c, and a low
IGT of 10 mA, it withstands 2 kV EFT and surge, in full compliance with
IEC 61000-4-4 and -5-5 standards yet interfaces directly with a
microcontroller.
Its SMBFlat-3L package brings an Rth(j-t) 40% better than an SOT-223.
The ACS108-8SUN helps reduce component count by 80% – removing the need
for external devices like RC snubbers and / or varistors.
A clever PCB lay-out can allow use of both SMBFlat-3L and SOT-223
versions on the same PCB.
- New 5-line IPAD™ EMI
filters and ESD protects side keys
Sidekeys – intended for volume control or scroll functions – in
smartphones and wearable devices are major entry doors for
electrostatic discharges that can destroy the portable device.
The new IPAD EMIF05-SK01F3 is an application-specific integrated
passive component (ASIP) designed to filter EMI/RFI noise and to
protect all systems subjected to electromagnetic interferences from ESD
surges up to 15 kV.
The EMIF05-SK01F3 is housed in a 0.5 mm-thick 1.2 x 1.5 mm flip-chip
package.

- gapDRIVE™ isolated
driver for IGBTs and MOSFETs is now AEC-Q100 qualified
The STGAP1S, a
galvanically-isolated single-gate driver for MOSFETs and IGBTs, is a
dependable solution for switched-mode power converters where an
isolation of up to 1500 V is required.
It features sophisticated and largely programmable protection functions
such as Miller clamp, desaturation detection, overcurrent detection,
2-level turn-off, VCE overvoltage protection, and both under- and
over-voltage lockout (UVLO and OVLO) circuits to help design with
robustness and reliability in mind.
All this is accessible for the design of in-vehicle applications, such
as traction inverters in electric vehicles, as the STGAP1S is now fully
AEC-Q100 qualified.
- First 1200 V
automotive-grade SCR ensures ultra-reliable power conversion
The TN5050H-12WY
is optimized for a wide range of AC/DC converter applications,
including electric vehicles and other battery chargers, renewable
energy inverters, solid-state relays and UPS. It offers superior
surge-current handling (580 A), power dissipation capability (Rth=0.3
°C/W, Tj max=150 °C), and overvoltage robustness up to 1300 V, while
uniquely enhancing reliability, quality, and supply of components with
the AEC-Q101 certification.
This new SCR enables designers to achieve the same level of efficiency
as traditional diode bridges, but with lower cost and a smaller PCB
footprint.
- Advanced automotive
EEPROMs with advanced data security
Both ST’s SPI and I2C bus Advanced Automotive EEPROM series provide
enhanced data protection through a specific set of read/write/lock
instructions that enable storage of sensitive data including
traceability, serial number, and unique customer ID.
Moreover, the 4 million erase/write cycle endurance enables storage of
frequently updated data such as key parameters that change according to
environmental conditions (data-logging), avoiding memory-hungry
strategies for extending EEPROM lifetime.
The 50-year data retention is guaranteed, even at a constant 125 °C,
ensuring the parameters remain available well beyond the useful life of
the vehicle.

The ESDAXLC6-1BT2Y
is a single-line ESD protection device designed for automotive
equipment. It is suited for all types of applications including
antennas and high-speed datalines as it combines an ultra-low
capacitance with a 12 GHz bandwidth.
Its ESD capability exceeds both ISO 10605 and IEC 61000-4-2 level 4
standards, with respectively 12 and 16 kV contact discharge while the
air discharge capability exceeds 30 kV.
Housed in a thin SOD-882T package, it is ideal for use on high-density
boards.
- AEC-Q101-qualified
load-dump protection series keeps your board safe
The LDP01Y
series protects car or truck electronic boards from surges defined in
the ISO 7637-2 pulse 5a/5b and ISO 16750-2 test A/B standards.
With stand-off voltages rated from 22 to 70 V, it is ideal to protect
any type of sensitive circuit.
As many variations are described in ISO 7637-2 pulse 5a/5b and ISO
16750-2 – due to surge duration, serial resistance in the circuit and
surge voltage range – the datasheet provides four curves to accurately
define the surge characteristics and select the appropriate LDP01Y
device.
The LDP01Y series is supplied in a D2PAK package.
- AEC-Q101 40 V, 6 A
dual-Schottky diodes for SMPS and other power converters
Housed in a DPAK package, the STPS640CBY-TR
is intended for use in low- and medium-voltage applications, and in
particular in high-switching-frequency circuits where low switching
losses are key (freewheeling and polarity protection). The Schottky
diodes are connected in a common-cathode configuration and suited for
electronic control modules, DC/DC converters and motor drives, in
automotive applications and other functions in harsh environments,
thanks to an operating junction temperature range from -40 to + 150 °C.

- How to take full
advantage of the low-power UART in the STM32L0
Equipped with a low-power UART
(LPUART), STM32L0 MCUs enable your application to stay connected at
outstandingly low consumption levels.
The LPUART can run on a low-power clock while the device is in a
power-saving mode and wake up the system upon a received frame event or
an address match.
To support engineers in squeezing the last nanoampere out of their
designs, a new application note (AN4635) is available which –
complemented by the X-CUBE-LPUART software examples – guides you
towards the optimum use of the LPUART with the help of numerous case
studies.
- STM32CubeMX, a powerful tool to reduce
power consumption
The power consumption calculator included in the STM32CubeMX MCU
configuration tool provides an easy way to estimate the power
consumption of all STM32 MCUs, and especially the STM32L0 or STM32L1
series, in your application.
It supports design engineers in finding the optimum device settings for
the lowest overall power consumption and a maximum of battery life.
With the STM32CubeMX revision 4.7, the accuracy of the power
consumption calculation has been further increased, wakeup times are
now taken into consideration and the power-saving sequence can be
checked for invalid transitions.

- Explore the gapDRIVE™
isolated IGBT and MOSFET driver demo board
A complete evaluation suite is
now available to quickly delve into the STGAP1S galvanically-isolated
single MOSFET and IGBT driver and evaluate its performance and
capabilities.
At its core is the EVALSTGAP1S demo board fitted with an IGBT in a
TO247 package and two diagnostic LEDs that can be used in standalone or
multiple modes.
To access internal registers and fine tune the STGAP1S’s power switch
characteristics for your application requirements, simply install the
STSW-STGAP001 graphical user interface and evaluation software and
connect the EVALSTGAP1S to a PC through the STEVAL-PCC009V2 interface
board.
- A 600 V rated IGBT
and MOSFET half-bridge gate driver
The L6491D is a high-voltage device that can handle up to 600 V for
driving IGBTs or MOSFETs in a half-bridge configuration in typical
off-line switched-mode converters for motor control, power supply or
lighting applications.

The STEVAL-IHM023V3 evaluation
board is a 3-phase motor control
AC-DC inverter bridge designed to
drive two-or three-phase motors up to 1000 W with or without sensors.
The main products on board are the STGP10H60DF 600 V IGBT and the L6390
high-voltage driver featuring an operation amplifier for advanced
current sensing and an integrated comparator enabling hardware
protection such as over-current and over-temperature.
Thanks to the accuracy of the current feedback and the advanced
characteristics, the system well addresses field-oriented control (FOC)
application requirements.

- BlueNRG-MS
Bluetooth low energy network processor for smart IoT devices
Bluetooth

compliant, the BlueNRG-MS IC exhibits an unparalleled low current
consumption, ideal for connecting smart Internet of Things devices that
need to operate for years while being powered from a small coin cell
battery.
It runs the complete Bluetooth low energy stack on an embedded
Cortex-M0 core and it is also connected through a proprietary SPI-based
interface to a host MCU running the application.

Use the STEVAL-ISA159V1
evaluation board to explore the L6984,
a high-efficiency monolithic synchronous step-down regulator, able to

Operating up to 105 °C, the new Industrial-Plus series of Serial

A rapid, 4 ms write time and bus frequencies up to 20 MHz make them
ideal where high-speed parameter storage and rapid data exchange is
needed.
With 34 new part numbers with 2K to 512 K bits of memory, the M24 (I2C)
and M95 (SPI) series, both guaranteed for 4 million erase/write cycles,
enable equipment used in challenging thermal conditions to benefit from
enhanced-reliability devices.
- Innovative ESD
protection and EMI filtering for sensitive audio ICs
The 3.5 mm audio jack is a must-have interface to connect audio
accessories.
It is also the entry point for ESD that can destroy sensitive audio
ICs.
To ensure high-quality audio, EMI must also be filtered.
The EMIF05-AUD02F3 provides premium ESD protection reducing IEC
61000-4-2 level 4 (+/- 8 kV) ESD strikes down to 15.3 V.
Its EMI filter prevents noise issues by providing -20 dB attenuation
from 15 MHz to 2.5 GHz.
All housed in a compact WLCSP package it has a PCB footprint of
only 1.83 mm² thanks to ST’s IPAD™ technology which integrates multiple
passive devices in a single silicon die.
- P-channel MOSFET
portfolio extended with new trench-gate devices
Featuring a very low on-state resistance (less than 22.5 mΩ for a -20 V
device in the 2x2 mm PowerFLAT micro-package) and figure of merit
(FoM), ST has extended its offering of P-channel MOSFETs with a
breakdown voltage from -100 V up to -20 V.
The latest trench-gate P-channel MOSFETs help simplify designs and meet
power and efficiency targets by using fewer devices and smaller package
sizes.

- The STEVAL-ILL069V1 evaluation
board provides a complete solution for a 48V / 35W isolated fly-back
converter for wide input main voltages, ideally suited for LED driver
applications.
Built around the HVLED001 high
performance peak current mode controller, it benefits from its unique
features to provide high power factor and low total harmonic distortion
(THD) together with high full load efficiency yet providing a no-load
consumption of less than 400 mW.
The HVLED001's extensive protection scheme ensures protection against
input overvoltage, output short circuit and overload conditions and
includes an auto-restart feature.
- STEVAL-ISB032V1
is an evaluation board for charging
single-cell Li-Ion batteries
based on ST's STNS01 linear
battery charger.
Input voltage comes from an USB connector and two outputs are
available: one for the main load generated with a 1% precise LDO
regulator of 3.1 V with 100 mA capability and a second one for the
system obtained from input (or battery) voltage.
The STNS01 features a CC/CV (linear) charging algorithm with
programmable fast-charge current.
The power switchover between input and battery is automatic and so are
protections against over-charge/discharge/current/temperature conditions.
- New SCR optimized for rugged circuit breaker
applications
The newcomer to ST’s logic level thyristor family, the TS110-8, is dedicated to miniature circuit
breakers.
It enables designers to reach a very low power consumption and a high
robustness design thanks to its low leakage current and its 1250 V
direct surge voltage capability.
It provides high off-state immunity (dV/dt=200 V/μs) that ensures the
breaker does not trip in case of an electrical fast transient (EFT) on
the mains.
The TS110-8 is available in the through-hole TO92 package, with two
pinout versions, and in the surface-mount 3-lead SMBFlat-3L package.

high-efficiency step-down DC-DC converter
The STEVAL-ISA152V1
product evaluation board lets you quickly dive deep into the L7987
step-down switching regulator capable of working at nearly 100%
duty-cycle with high efficiency even at the lightest loads thanks to
its switch-over and pulse-skipping features.
The board implements a complete solution for a 4.5 to 60 V input
voltage to 3.3 V / 3 A converter fully protected against overcurrent
and overtemperature conditions. Multiple devices can be synchronized to

- MEMS accelerometer
and 6-axis combo help reduce design cycles
The LIS2DH12
accelerometer features user-selectable full scales of ±2/±4/±8/±16g and
ultra-low power consumption down to 2 μA. Housed in a small 2x2x1 mm,
12-lead LGA package, it is compatible with the LSM303C 6-axis combo in
terms of footprint and pinout structure.
This lets manufacturers mount on the same PCB a single accelerometer or
an accelerometer plus a magnetometer, reducing the design cycle and
optimizing costs.
- Tiny iNEMO
“always-on” SIP delivers industry-leading noise performance
The LSM6DS3

- New high-performance
switching regulators for fail-safe systems
The new L7987 and L7987L are monolithic buck switching
regulators that deliver up to 3A and 2A respectively with an input
voltage up to 61V.
Able to work with a 100% duty cycle, they help meet fail-safe
requirements for industrial systems including PLCs. In addition,
pulse-by-pulse current sensing with digital frequency foldback provides
excellent protection in a wide range of load conditions.
These regulators feature a switching frequency that can go as high as
1.5MHz.
Their adjustable current limitation helps minimize inductor size, thus
reducing application cost and size and improving efficiency.
- 650V MDmesh™ M2
MOSFET features dedicated control pin for increased switching efficiency
The STW56N65M2-4 is
ST’s first 650 V MDmesh™ M2 MOSFET assembled in the TO247-4 package
which features an extra driving source pin. This allows separating the
path of the power supply from that of the driving signal, greatly
reducing switching losses.
The lower turn-on and turn-off losses combined with the excellent Qg
and low on-resistance make this 0.062 Ohm MOSFET the ideal choice for
high-power PFC circuits in telecom server applications.
The reduced switching losses enable designers to use higher switching
frequencies, resulting in more compact designs.
- Meet the smallest
2-channel filter for ZigBee® RF4CE devices
ST’s new DLPF-GP-01D3 is a
tiny
dual low-pass filter single-chip solution complementing the GreenPeak
GP540 and GP561 RF4CE communication controllers for TVs, STBs, doors,
alarms, lighting, etc. Its two integrated filters provide high
attenuation outside the 2.4 to 2.5 GHz range and have low in-bandwidth
insertion and return loss.
This new ST IPD helps designers meet ZigBee RF4CE specifications,
simplify the circuit design, save cost and PCB area. Its 1.2 x 3.4 mm
footprint and below 560 μm height enable the filter to be built in less
than 1/10th the PCB space of a conventional discrete circuit.
- Tiny advanced ESD
protection for interfaces up to 10 Gbit/s
Need to alleviate the increasing sensitivity to ESD events from the
user through the external connector of high-speed differential-line
transceivers such as USB 3.1 (10 Gbit/s) or HDMI 2.0 4K (5.94 Gbit/s)
interfaces? ST’s new HSP051-4N10 ESD
array is compatible with USB Type C connectors and protects ICs from
contact discharges up to 8 kV as defined by IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4, with
very low dynamic resistance (0.48 Ω). Its 1.9 mm² and 4-channel
flow-through µQFN-10L package is only 0.32 mm thick and 0.4 mm pitch,
and minimizes impedance mismatch. With only 0.35 pF line capacitance,
signal integrity is preserved, providing a 10 GHz bandwidth.
- New ultrafast 1200 V
rectifiers optimized for high-power industrial supplies
ST’s new ‘S12’ 1200 V ultrafast rectifier series is designed with soft
recovery characteristics, a low leakage current, narrow parametric
spread and intrinsic ruggedness.
Rated at 8, 15, 30 or 75 A, these devices are ideal for heavy-duty
applications requiring long-term reliability and fit perfectly in
industrial power supplies, motor control and similar mission-critical
systems. Their low recovery charge and soft recovery reduce ringing and
electrical noise as well as power losses. The thermal runaway guard
band is also a key advantage.

The TSX56x series of op amps

USB interface board demonstrates the decoding and streaming of digital
MEMS microphone outputs.
The board hosts two MP34DT01 top-port digital microphones and a
STM32F107RC microcontroller.
The microphones sense the sound pressure created by acoustic waves,
converts this into digital signals and then sends them in PDM format to
the MCU that decodes the signals and streams the audio to a PC via USB.

microphone with best-in-class audio for mobile applications
This new MP34DT01-M microphone
features a top-port audio sensor as well as 61 dB SNR and flat
frequency response in the full 20–20,000 Hz audio band.
Available in an HCLGA (3x4x1.06 mm) metal package which is required for
most final applications, it perfectly matches the needs of clever
speech-recognition systems for voice-controlled software and
electronic-assistant applications used in new consumer applications,
where improving audio intelligibility without increasing CPU workload
is a key factor. The device is also suitable for advanced applications
such as sound-level meters that require high dynamic range.

This new line introduces new choices for designers by combining 225 DMIPS processing performance,

of RAM and rich connectivity.
The STM32F446 allows seamless memory-extension thanks to FMC and Dual-mode Quad SPI interfaces and

- Sub-GHz RF modules
add out-of-the-box wireless connectivity
The SP1ML-868
(868 MHz SRD band) and SP1ML-915 (915 MHz ISM band) are ultra-low-power
RF transceiver modules based on ST’s SPIRIT1 radio combining into a
small form factor (10 x 14 mm) an antenna and crystal as well as an
STM32L151RB microcontroller for application firmware.
They come with the firmware for serial cable replacement and AT
commands for RF and data configuration through the UART interface and
include a Serial Wire Debug (SWD) interface. SP1ML modules are an
out-of-the-box solution to add wireless connectivity to a range of
connected objects, dramatically reducing time to market as they are
already FCC and CE approved.
- Explore ST’s new vacuum cleaner motor speed
control evaluation board
The STEVAL-IHM029V2 low-cost
universal motor control evaluation board targets vacuum cleaners whose
input power will be limited to 900 W in compliance with the 2009/125/EC
directive starting in September 2017.
The board controls the universal motor speed by an STM8S103 microcontroller which
varies the motor conduction phase angle thanks to the T1235T-8T,
a high-performance 12 A 800 V T-series Triac.
This low-cost universal motor control demonstration board can also be
used for motor speed control in food processors and power tools.
- New signal Schottky
diode in 0201 package for mobile applications
Housed in the 0.3 mm thick 0201 chip-scale package, ST’s BAT30F4
is especially suited for mobile and consumer applications where space
is a constraint. Occupying a PCB area of less than 0.2 mm², the BAT30F4
is rated at a VRRM of 30 V with a current rating of 300 mA.
Its low forward voltage, leakage current and junction capacitance
provide designers with an increased efficiency and power density
solution and make it ideal for use as a reverse polarity protection or
step-up DC-DC converter in mobile applications. Furthermore, it has the
advantage of being RoHS compliant without exemption.
- Decompensated
high-precision, rail-to-rail, low-power op amps for improved performance
The TSX7191
offers low power consumption and exhibits an offset voltage less than
200 µV. Its rail-to-rail input and output functions, associated with an
extended power supply range from 2.7 V to 16 V, allows the TSX7191 to
be used in a wide range of applications. The TSX7191 perfectly fits
automotive requirements: -40 to 125 °C temperature range and ability to
sustain 4 kV ESD. TSX7191 is the decompensated version of the
unity-gain stable TSX711. Available in a tiny SOT-23 package, its
stability and outstanding GBW of 8.5 MHz are guaranteed for gains
greater than 10.

very high currents.
Over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage protection and diagnostic

- RobuST SPI-controlled
H-bridge drives motors at up to 8.6 A
The RL9958
is a fully protected SPI-controlled H-bridge, designed for the control
of DC and stepper motors in safety-critical applications under extreme
environmental conditions. The H-bridge is protected against
over-temperature, short circuits and has an under-voltage lockout for
VS and VDD, and for over-voltage on VDD. Detailed failure diagnostics
are provided via the SPI and the current regulation threshold can be
set via SPI from 2.5 A to 8.6 A (typ.), in 4 steps. Available in a
Power SO20 package.

The HTS221
is an ultra-compact sensor that measures relative humidity and
temperature. It is the first device of a new family of humidity

by innovative car networking
By integrating both high-speed CAN with selective wake-up (HS-CAN ISO
11898-6) and LIN physical layers, the L99PM72GXP,
a power management system IC,
provides all the functions needed to build up a complete Electronic
Control Unit (ECU) for car body applications.
Its features are tailored to particular uses such as in climate control
modules and door control units as well as seat, trunk, trailer, sunroof
and rear-view modules.

The STEVAL-IDB003V1 is an evaluation board based on BlueNRG, a
Bluetooth® 4.0 compliant wireless network processor able to support
both master and slave functions.
The STEVAL-IDB003V1 main controller is an ultra-low-power STM32L MCU
able to interface with BlueNRG but also available for custom
application development through a JTAG connector that can be soldered
on the on-board footprint.
The STEVAL-IDB003V1 has a USB connector for PC GUI interaction and
firmware updates. Its maximum transmission power reaches +8 dBm.

100 W single LED string using the STLUX385A digital controller to
manage two stages of power conversion.
The LED current is adjusted using a primary side regulation (PSR)
control technique achieving 92% efficiency during full load while
maintaining a low power consumption (< 200 mW) during controller
idle periods.
The LED brightness can be dimmed by controlling the LED current down to
1% with tight resolution.
Communication interfaces such as DALI and UART are present as well as
an insulated 0 – 10V input control.

is a DC-DC buck converter with synchronous rectification that delivers
up to 400 mA with an input voltage that ranges from 4.5 to 36 V. Its

Low Noise Mode, that reduces noise and makes easier to meet EMI

- New 650 V MDmesh M2
MOSFETs boost efficiency and robustness
The MDmesh M2 series of super-junction MOSFETs has been extended with
the introduction of 650 V
devices for more robust and reliable applications.
Combining a low on-state resistance (down to 0.36 Ω in the TO-220
package) with low gate charge and input/output capacitances, they allow
faster and more efficient switching in adapters, solar micro-inverters
and lighting applications.
- Super-slim
AEC-Q101-qualified ultrafast rectifiers for automotive and outdoor
electronics
Housed in the 1 mm thick SMBFlat package, ST’s automotive-qualified
high-voltage ultrafast rectifiers are suited for miniature electronic
control modules, power converters, and motor drives, in automotive
applications and, thanks to a -40 °C +175 °C temperature range, also
harsh-environment applications, like base stations and outdoor
lighting.
Footprint compatible with, yet 60% thinner than the standard SMB
package with current-rated from 1 A to 3 A, and a VRRM from 600 V to
1200 V, this new 10-rectifier range includes L devices optimized for
low forward voltage (VF), and R devices optimized for reverse-recovery
time (trr).

The STEVAL-IEG001V2
is a smart vehicle tracking system featuring a GPS module based on TESEO II
for positioning, GSM/GPRS for location update and MEMS as anti-theft
feature and vehicle crash detection (a log is stored in the microSD
card and sent via SMS for black-box functionality).
Installed in the vehicle, the system consists of a unit built around an
STM32 microcontroller and a
remote web server application where vehicle status and movements are
shown on a map.
Nowadays, the tracking system is a key component of vehicle telematics,
both in public transportation units, fleets and individual cars.
- Dual-line Transil for
automotive CAN bus keeps clamping voltage below 35V
The ESDCAN01-2BLY
is the second version of ST’s ESD protection diode designed for circuit
protection of automotive controller area network (CAN) bus lines.
It provides ESD circuit protection up to 30 kV (ISO 10605) and
overvoltage protection against other automotive electrical surges such
as ISO 7637-3 pulse 3a/3b.
With a rated stand-off voltage at 24 V, it maintains the maximum
clamping voltage below 35 V when subjected to ISO 7637-3 pulse 3a/3b
bursts. Housed in the SOT23 package, it features a 230-watt peak pulse
power at 120 °C for protection in harsh environments.
